Operational Guidelines TROOP
MEETINGS:
- Mondays

All regular Monday evening Troop meetings will be from ·
Class A Scout uniforms are required.
Scouts with incomplete uniforms will assist in clean-up duties. TROOP CONFERENCE CALLS
- Thursdays ·
Troop
9 conducts planning conference calls on Thursday evenings from ·
Parent
Advisors for the month, Senior Patrol Leaders, and Patrol Leaders are
responsible for conducting and establishing the agenda for the calls.
·
The
Thursday night call is a regular meeting of the Patrol Leaders Council.
·
It
is used to plan meetings and other events. All scouts are encouraged to
participate in the calls. Note:
The Senior Patrol Leader will designate an older Scout to
coordinate and lead each meeting and conference call following the Scout
guidelines. These will be organized around the monthly themes along with the
Patrol assigned for the month. PARTICIPATION IN TROOP ACTIVITIES Scout participation
in all Troop events, activities and campouts is contingent upon: ·
Scout’s
demonstration of and commitment to the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan and
Outdoor Code. ·
Active
participation in Troop meetings. ·
Sign-up
and commitment by the Monday meeting prior to the weekend of the planned event
(unless an earlier commitment is required or unless the commitment is open.) ·
For
campouts, upon attendance at the pack-check the Friday of the event. ·
Submission
of Parental Authorization form(if required) ·
Completed
and submitted Scout and Family contact, medical and vehicle information. ·
Must
be in good standing with the Troop in regards to dues and payments. ·
Parental
commitment to assist in at least two Scout activities over the course of the
year. ·
All
scouts should bring their Scout Handbooks to each meeting as merit badge/rank
advancement activities might occur at any meeting. ·
Scouts
are responsible to check Troop 9’s records in Troop Master for accuracy and
completeness. MERIT BADGE MONDAYS ·
One
Monday each month (except September), Troop 9 will conduct a meeting that is
specifically geared toward achieving objectives for a merit badge or rank
advancement as appropriate for the seniority of each patrol.
